With over six decades of expertise, Makteshim Agan is an international leader in branded off-patent crop protection solutions. The company’s expansion in Asian markets made India, a natural choice for their newest R&D facility. Visitors to the facility are met with a water feature designed around the site’s largely rocky character. The master plan follows suit and moulds itself to place the bulk of the built form on flat land and the utilities to the rear of the site along the high-density rocky contours. The campus is designed as one block in three sections- the first houses the corporate HQ and offices; the second, the research centre with analytical and chemical laboratories and the third, a high pressure and scale up the laboratory. Open corridors play with the surrounding landscape while forming the base for additional offices and connecting the three sections. The integration of landscape into the single built form gives the appearance of multiple blocks.
