The project required relocation of the college campus along with faculty residences to the hostel grounds of the college while retaining and rejuvenating the old colonnaded semi-circular hostel building. The design articulates meeting and gathering areas for students through plazas, as against corridors. The existing cricket pitch, the colonnaded semi-circular hostel building and all the trees on campus are retained in their original state. The faculty residences and chapel are screened by an exposed brick screen wall. Framed by large cast iron gates and highlighted by a clock tower, the chapel is reminiscent of Romanesque churches. The watchtower and observatory tower complement each other and give the campus a sense of dignity.
